Target Audience
This activity has been designed to meet the educational needs of physicians, advanced practice clinicians, nursing professionals, pharmacists, psychologists, social workers, rehabilitation specialists, dietitians, researchers, advocates, and other members of the healthcare team involved in the management of patients with MS, conduct research in MS or who have a special interest in MS.
Learning Objectives:
  1. Examine the various models of care in MS and the roles and responsibilities of care team members in order to adapt the most appropriate model for team-based care in a given practice setting.
  2. Integrate the complex processes that support the provision of team-based, comprehensive care in MS into effective practices and centers providing evidence-based MS care.
  3. Integrate information about the mechanisms underlying MS relapses, progression, and gray and white matter pathology as the basis for monitoring and treating the disease.
  4. Summarize methods to monitor treatment outcomes including patient self-report, automated self-assessment, new clinician reported outcomes, imaging, and biomarkers in order to optimize their utilization in clinical practice and research.

In support of improving patient care, this activity has been planned and implemented by the Consortium of Multiple Sclerosis Centers (CMSC) and Intellisphere, LLC. The CMSC is jointly accredited by the Accreditation Council for Continuing Medical Education (ACCME), the Accreditation Council for Pharmacy Education (ACPE), and the American Nurses Credentialing Center (ANCC), to provide continuing education for the health care team.





This activity was planned by and for the healthcare team, and learners will receive 2.75 Interprofessional Continuing Education (IPCE) credit for learning and change.


Physicians (CME)
The CMSC designates this enduring material for a maximum of 2.75 AMA PRA Category 1 Credit(s)TM. Physicians should claim only the credit commensurate with the extent of their participation in the activity.

Pharmacists (ACPE)
This knowledge-based activity (UAN JA4008165-0000-24-010-H01-P) qualifies for 2.75 contact hours (.275 CEUs) of continuing pharmacy education credit.

Nurses (NCPD)
The CMSC designates this enduring material for 2.75 contact hour of nursing continuing professional development (NCPD) credits. Nurses should claim only the credit commensurate with the extent of their participation in the activity.

PAs (AAPA)
The CMSC has been authorized by the American Academy of PAs (AAPA) to award AAPA Category 1 CME credit for activities planned in accordance with AAPA CME Criteria. This activity is designated for 2.75 AAPA Category 1 CME credits. PAs should only claim credit commensurate with the extent of their participation.



Social Workers (Through ASWB's ACE Program) (ASWB)
As a Jointly Accredited Organization, the CMSC is approved to offer social work continuing education by the Association of Social Work Boards (ASWB) Approved Continuing Education (ACE) program. Organizations, not individual courses, are approved under this program. Regulatory boards are the final authority on courses accepted for continuing education credit. Social workers completing this course receive 2.75 general continuing education credits.


Psychologists (APA)
Continuing Education (CE) credits for psychologists are provided through the co-sponsorship of the American Psychological Association (APA) Office of Continuing Education in Psychology (CEP) and the CMSC. The CMSC maintains responsibility for the content of the program. The CMSC designates this activity for 2.75 CE credits.


Registered Dietitians (RD)
CDR Credentialed Practitioners will receive 2.75 Continuing Professional Education unit(s) (CPEU) for completion of this activity. Practitioners should only claim the credit commensurate with the extent of their participation in the activity



Interprofessional Continuing Education (IPCE)


This activity was planned by and for the healthcare team, and learners will receive 2.75 Interprofessional Continuing Education (IPCE) credit for learning and change.
